Welcome to Café im Kunsthaus Dahlem, a hidden gem nestled in the serene embrace of Grunewald forest at Käuzchensteig 12, 14195 Berlin. This charming café isn't just a coffee stop; it’s a delightful escape into a world of art and nature. After exploring the stunning Brücke Museum, treat yourself to a sumptuous cake and invigorating tea in the idyllic sculpture garden. The atmosphere here is quiet and reflective, allowing you to immerse yourself in creativity while surrounded by lush greenery.

One visit here, and you’ll understand why patrons rave about its peaceful setting. Nicole Wolf, a satisfied customer, captures this sentiment beautifully: she describes the combination of "delicious cake and tea" enjoyed amidst art and nature as awe-inspiring. She particularly recommends the walnut croquant torte, highlighting its scrumptious flavors that perfectly complement the fine selection of teas.

As you sit on the beautiful terrace with a view of the greenery, savor a hearty dish like the Chili Con Carne or indulge in the exquisite Kirschekäsekuchen (cherry cheesecake), a definite crowd-pleaser according to local foodie Stephane Franco. Each bite is a blend of rich textures and delightful flavors, designed to warm your soul on a crisp Berlin day.

However, it's important to note that some guests found the prices slightly on the higher side, which is worth considering for budget-conscious visitors. Dorota Radożycka voices her appreciation for the café as an excellent weekend retreat that remains spacious and uncrowded, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. She advises guests to be prepared to pay with cash for their coffees unless their bill exceeds €10, a quirk worth noting in the café’s operations.

While the coffee garnered mixed reviews, with some critics noting inconsistencies in preparation, the pastries and the artistic ambiance surely compensate for it. Kitchen Insider shares a candid takeaway on their experience, emphasizing that the art and environment truly elevates the overall visit.

Whether you're an art aficionado, a nature lover, or simply looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Café im Kunsthaus Dahlem perfectly encapsulates the essence of Berlin's creative spirit. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the experience—dining surrounded by culture in a tranquil setting, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers alike.

So come, sip your tea, savor your cake, and let the beauty of Kunsthaus Dahlem enchant you.

After enjoying the beautiful adjacent Brücke Museum I went for delicious cake and tea in the sculpture garden at the Kunsthaus Dahlem Museum and I’m still sitting here in awe of the beauty of this charming and quiet setting, immersed in the Grunewald forest. The teas and walnut croquant torte are also exquisite.

The Kunsthaus Dahlem ("The Art-House Dahlem" when translated in English) is located just beside the Brücke Museum with the Grunewald Forest as its background. The former studio of Arno Breker (one of the most prominent German sculptors and painters during the National Socialist era), the building houses, now, art and sculptures between 1945 and 1961. Some metal structures of art have been even exhibited outside the museum in its garden. Had a pretty tough time finding the entrance of the museum. After going round the whole museum three times, found out apparently that its only entrance was through a dim-lit café that housed visitors for the Kunsthaus as well as the Brücke Museum.

Schöne Terassen mit Blick im Grünem. Chili Con Carne war gut, genauso der Kirschekäsekuchen..Preisen sind zu hoch finde ich.

What can I say about coffee in berlin. Good timber and paint don't guarantee a wonderful house. This is typical of berlin coffee. Uneven roast and mechanical technique leave the result bitter and thin as an aged alcoholic. The cake was good. The ratatouille too, though microwave rice is a hard no from this reviewer. The art was great!

This cafe of the the museum is very nice and has very helpful and supportive staff. The walls have exhibits. With high roof and open space it is very good place to relax after visit to Museum. Their pumpkin carrot soup is superb and is a must try. They have maintained CoVID protocols.

Café im ehemaligen Atelier des Bildhauers Bernhard Heiliger. Große Hallen....! Beeindruckend! Kaffee und Kuchen sind gut. Das Preis /Leistungsverhaeltnis ist angemessen. Freundliche Mitarbeiter. Der Aussenbereich gefällt mir sehr gut. Ruhig und erholsam. Wunderbare Skulpturen neben dem Gebäude in einem kleinen Park mit Bänken unter alten Bäumen. Unbedingt anschauen!
